It's YEAR TWO of my life as a working artist! I've got a brand new set of goals for 2016. Hopefully there will be more meaningful posts on my blog this year as well. We'll see where blogging fits in. First on the GOAL agenda: a commissions page. I've been riding on word-of-mouth for commissions so far. While I mostly do pet portrait commissions, I'm open to other requests as well. Pet portraits really took off with great results in 2016! Until my dedicated page is up, just shoot me an email if you'd like to discuss a portrait of your pet! (more info below) [email protected] I'll be offering my 'random art' on this site consistently in 2016, with new art posted each month. I aim to keep prices of my random funky pieces very affordable ($50-$75) because all budgets deserve art...not just the affluent. A commission will cost ya more because I'm working specifically for YOU. And let's be real, artists are allowed to make a living just like all budgets deserve affordable art. (Is this where I drop a mic or something?) Here are some examples of my pet portraits (pricing below). A horse and some cats are up next! **I've got 2 more spots available for FEBRUARY.**
My turn-around time is about three weeks for custom pet portraits and my current pricing is as follows: 12x12 - $130 11x14 - $140 You choose whether you prefer a framed piece or gallery wrapped canvas with the sides painted to match. If you want a size other than what is listed above I can make it happen. Once your photos (and pet stories, his/her favorite things, etc) are reviewed and the commission is confirmed, I will provide you with a firm deadline. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at that time...and the balance due upon completion. These are the basics. More soon! Email me if you have additional questions before then. I'm off to tackle some goals. What are your goals for the new year? [email protected]

Love that you're doing well. I just read your blog and will be interested in doing a commission painting of Dobie. I'll let you know. 1/7/2016 02:28:00 pm
