Hello!It's me.
And it's 2020. Already the middle of 2020. Also...still 2020. For those of you who still check in, I appreciate you so much! You don't have to do that, and yet you do. An update is in order: I'm not taking commissions again just yet. I simply needed a rest to get the spark back, but I miss it more each day. In the meantime, I'm still squeezing every dog I can on the regular. I don't even charge for that service! I've been on a break from commissions and from sharing/selling my art altogether--but not on a break from making new art. Making weird art is just part of who I am. SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW? Frankly, these times have me equal parts motivated and paralyzed! I'm trying new things, revisiting old things--and finding a new outlook on how I approach it all. I'm showing up every day. I'm not here to make promises yet or set myself up for failure--because I'm not sure where I'm headed--but I'm headed somewhere, and this is me hopping back in the car. Vroom vroom. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Amy Happy NEw YEar!I'll keep this short and simple but I wanted to say a quick hello and thanks for all the support in 2018! Lots has changed in the last few months. I got a cool, new, FULL-TIME job. By full-time job, I mean a job that isn't full-time art. It's bittersweet...but absolutely a positive thing! I'm working closely with graphic designers in the Creatives department at a local marketing agency. It was a calculated move and I'm proud that I was able to align myself with this opportunity. As I become more familiar with my role, I'll share more about this cool agency! We do good things and we make cool marketing materials. The purpose for today is to keep my website updated so that I don't appear off the radar. I'm totally on the radar! I'm just taking a short break from pet portrait commissions while I adjust to my new lifestyle. But I'm always open for inquiries...drop me a line and ask! Here are a few commissions I completed over the holidays. I hope 2019 is serving you well.
I'm excited to share new art and new avenues soon! It's my favorite time of year again! Back to back to back holidays, obviously--but even more than that, it's the rain! I just can't get enough. My only real update for today is that I'm making art! I'm making it more than I've been sharing it so I'm changing that today. On that note, here are couple of variations of a new owl design I'm working on. This holiday season I'll be offering digital art prints on fine art paper, signed. 8x10 for $20 and you frame it. Easy! I'm super excited about how they look, and I hope to make it a regular thing. If you follow me on social media, I'll keep you posted on all of it. You can also check back here after 10/15. Thank you! "Robot Hugs Right This Way =====>"It's a great day for a hug! Go on, get in there...
This lil doggie is making things happen in his business casual attire! Maxx was so much fun to work on. It's obvious that his owners love him very very much! If you are interested in a pet portrait, feel free to get in touch with me directly at amymclainart@gmail.
I'm working diligently on a more streamlined process for ordering pet portraits since I've made the switch to digital art. It seems like I'm being vague or that the 'if the price isn't listed you can't afford it' rule might apply. That's not true, though! I'm simply working with local printers to get the best pricing/printing times possible. You can have a custom pet portrait of your very own for about $150 (give or take a few bucks) depending on what options you want! Let's discuss! Love, Amy Added commentary: Based on people-relations, I believe this guy is Maxx's nephew. His name is Fred. |
