I’ll cut right to the chase: I’m not going to blog about this 21 Day Productivity Challenge every day. Please...who was I kidding? The From Busy to Happy Challenge is fantastic...and I recommend it. It’s something I do want to share when it's over, but I’m way too new at this to do it now. And here’s how it started going down: Day 1: Successfully blogged about Day 1 (Revamp your morning schedule). Woo! I’m a blogger! This is awesome. Day 2: Did my coursework for the Day 2 challenge (Staying Present)…then didn’t get around to blogging about it—because I wanted it to be the thoughtful and I had a birthday party to attend. Solution: I make my own schedule now. I'll do it in the morning! Day 3: Oh crap! I didn’t blog about Day 2…now I have to blog about Day 2 and Day 3? And I have a cold? I know…I’ll blog about Day 2 later and sleep off this cold. Then I’ll do the Day 3 coursework tomorrow. I’ll just stay a day behind. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Day 4: Crikey! Now it’s Day 4 and I didn’t blog about Day 2 -- because I really wanted to blog about the art I’m working on. But I didn’t do that either because I promised to blog about Day 2. Day 2! Day 2! Blog about Day 2! Aaaand now I haven’t done the Day 3 coursework. I’ll wait and do it all this weekend! Boom. Day 5: Holy smokes! It's the weekend. How am I going to catch up and blog about Days 2-5 now? And blow my nose and hack up a lung? *Ding* Is that the Day 6 challenge in my inbox?? ::crickets:: So there ya go. Week one a basic fail…but successful in the lessons learned. I hope some of the new bloggers in my circle will relate! It's a challenging start...and when we’re all a huge success we’ll look back and laugh at this, right? If I don’t fail some while building this empire, how legit will I be when it's time to give back? Yes, I said empire. And yes, it made me feel as nauseous as it did you. Sorry. All that said, here is the progress I promised on the painting. They all start this way. THE ART is what really drives me and I cant wait see where this one goes! The joy of this method of painting is that there is no plan going in. It all just happens. At this stage, I can still choose which side is up! I see everything from a cowboy and a crowd of forlorn folks...to some truly funky animals in this piece. Maybe it will be all of those things. Exciting! My PERSONAL challenge for this week is just to blog every day and make this about what feels natural. I want to get to the part where I can see and share the projects YOU are working on…the part where I get to give back. So the sooner I get these kinks ironed out, the sooner I get to do that! On that note, tomorrow is a brand new week! :fizzle, fizzle::

You're beginning to live your dream and most of us can't say that. Good luck. Hope you are over your nasty cold.

Plus......'have to' tends to suck the life out. Just do as it comes natural to you. I like the progress on the painting.

Love the art in progress -- it's so cool to see it forming. Week 1 was a learning curve, you're doing great!
April, I blog at two different blogs a total of 3 days a week. Sometimes it's only a couple sentences and a picture. Every day is a lot of pressure!! Check out http://http://www.withakwriting.com/prewriting-worksheet-how-to-plan-your-blogs-content-for-a-whole-year-in-about-30-minutes/ It is pretty awesome.

Ha! I knew what you meant, girl. Thanks for the really solid advice! I'm certainly starting to watch out for how other people do it. The one paragraph blogs are often the gems! I'll check out the link. I know Kris (with a K) is in the group of 'regulars'.
