CHALLENGE ACCEPTED: 30 Paintings in 30 Days. Whaaat?

Now...about the big challenge: 30 PAINTINGS in 30 DAYs.   I'm a little freaked out, honestly.

I rarely take part in these challenges because I feel bummed if I don't make it through them!   I even declined Consu Tolosa's wonderful 30 Days of Art Shares challenge for that very reason...and then I was totally jealous watching everyone else share awesome things!  They were sharing their art progress while I was just doing mine behind the scenes again.  Dumb.

So now a few of my art peers are doing various '30 PAINTINGS in 30 DAYS' challenges...  I immediately said no way, of course.    

Then my friend and accountability buddy Sam asked me to do it with her.    So here I am.  I can't imagine finishing a painting every day but I'm going to try!   And I expect to learn some things about myself and my art in the process.   

I'll also tell you a little secret:  I'm going whole hog on this challenge...but I'll be THRILLED to get 20 (or 15!) paintings done in 30 days.   

Should I admit that?  I just did.  Woo!

I've maybe finished one painting in a single day two times?    Ever?  

I'm publishing this blog the night before the challenge starts.  
 I will finish the first painting by noon tomorrow, 9/8.  DAY 1.
