Hey, y'all! Thanks for coming by. If you've followed my previous posts, you know today was the last day (woo!) of my 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge. I did a pretty decent job, too!
I'm preparing to go on vacation and will need to update with pictures when I return next week! I wanted to get a blog post in before I leave, though. I'll do a photo extravaganza very soon.
I've got some stuff coming up and I've been working steadily to get prepared! The 30 Days Challenge really helped in that regard! Here's the partial scoop:
Theme: Things That Go Bump In The Night
Where: Peoples Art of Portland
700 SW 5th (Pioneer Place)
Featuring the poster art of ZOLTRON and many local artists.
There are so many great artists here in Portland and I can't wait to see this show myself!
Reception is 5p-9p, 10/18 and the show will run through 11/18.
I will have three paintings in this show.
Come introduce yourself if you're there!
ANNUAL ART EVENT
WHAT: 7th Annual Big 500 Show
WHERE: Pioneer Place, entire 3rd floor.
700 SW 5th Ave
WHEN: Opening is 12/13/2014, 2pm.
This event is quite the spectacle! Over 5000 pieces of art, all 10"x10", all $40. The Big 500 gets tons of affordable art out to the public! Every artist in the show is on a level playing field with no signatures on the front.
And it opens with BAGPIPES!
I will have 10 paintings at this event!
WHERE: Arleta Library Cafe with Chris Haberman
WHEN: All month
Those who know me know I am a huge Haberman fan and I'm super excited about this opportunity! I will talk more about it in future posts because I'm not only a fan of Chris Haberman...but Arleta Library is also near and dear to my heart.
We are going to pack that place with artwork!
2015 is going to be an exciting year! Not just for my art and being able to do it with such a great creative circle...but also for this blog. I'm learning new things and expanding my scope every day and I appreciate all the support during the 'ME PHASE' of this thing!
As always, give me a shout if you have any ideas/content proposals. I'm always open to collaborations and new things! firstname.lastname@example.org
